At the June Polk County Central Committee monthly meeting, Precinct Committeepersons unanimously adopted this resolution supporting getting back into and winning the precinct representatives’ own precincts..
WHEREAS, Oregon law provides local representation for all major party-affiliated voters at the precinct level by the election of a Precinct Committee Person for every 250 electors every 2 years;
WHEREAS, a PCP has an obligation and opportunity to communicate with his or her electors about political and community issues in every election;
WHEREAS, PCPs planning and working together within their individual precinct will help fuel greater Republican involvement than in previous elections;
WHEREAS, a greater Republican engagement and turnout during elections will lead to more opportunities to engage with Non-Affiliated Voters; and
WHEREAS, PCPs meeting and working more closely within individual precincts provide a unique opportunity to affect a greater grassroots effort to elect political representatives who align with Republican values: NOW, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED, That Polk County Republican PCPs agree to meet with all PCPs in their individual precincts to support each other, to elect a captain and to develop a working plan to attempt to communicate with all of the electors in their precinct for the purpose of electing America First Republicans for public offices; and
BE IT FIRMLY RESOLVED,That Polk County Republican Party hereby pledges to facilitate outstanding Republican Party participation at the precinct level from this date forward.
